Ecclesia reformata semper reformanda secundum verbum Dei

Summer Job

I am working as a landscaper for the Seminary for this summer. I am happy because I am helping the Maintenance Dept. to make SFTS looks neat - beside getting some money for my studies:) Now I know how to operate the blower, hedge trimer, hand trimer, line trimer, mower, and many other tools. Keith and Gustafo - my supervisors - are teaching me many things, including English and gardening (wonderful!) Working under the sun is a challenge for me, but it also makes me stronger (I think so). My supervisors sometimes teasing me, "Just work with us, and we will teach you about God." I was laughing to hear it. In my mind I said to myself, there is no point to learn about God. What is the point to learn about your father/mother, you just know him/her because you have a close relationship with him/her? I don't want to study about God. For me it is about to know him, to have a relationship with him, as a Father and a child. I am not studying about God. What I am doing here is to study the knowledge. Many times the knowledge is not telling the truth about God, and those who do not know God would buy it. It is important to know God first, and then you study about the knowledge. Anyway, I love doing this job, but I think I prefer to do ministry.
